How Therapy Can Help

Often we find ourselves living a life that does not bring joy or fulfilment, but we continue in the hope that something might eventually change.

Maybe you are experiencing difficulties with relationships- for example, you are being bullied/abused or are in a close relationship that doesn't feel right, maybe with a partner or parent.

It could be that you have experienced a significant loss  that you are struggling to come to terms with.

Sometimes  the relationship you have with yourself is not what you would like it to be and are suffering with lack of confidence and have low self-esteem.

It might be that you confuse self-care with being selfish! You spend your life worrying about other people and spend  little time caring for yourself.

Sometimes it can all feel too much. We may experience feelings of sadness, loneliness, anger, guilt, shame, isolation. Often these feelings might become unmanageable, we experience overwhelm, stress, anxiety that seems to have no real cause or we go the other way and just feel numb.

Perhaps, that In order to manage our emotional selves we might have developed strategies or habits like, self-medicating with alcohol, or over working that once helped but no longer serves, in fact, the thing that helped originally has become become part of the problem. These are some of the issues I can help with.

Testimonials

"My life was spiralling out of control, everything was getting too much and my anxiety was unmanageable"

I learned not only the skills to manage my anxiety but finding the root causes and work on them individually. The power passed to me to say NO! has been a game changer and reduced my stress dramatically.

Getting an understanding of the mental and physical effects of anxiety has enabled me to recognise the early warning signs and deal with them before they take over".

Jay will always have a special part of my heart and I will be forever grateful for our time together"

Dear Jay,

I just wanted to say thank you for changing my life, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for the difference you have made.

I feel like a different person. Although I know I’ll have good and bad days I will always remember that “ it’s ok” you’ve taught me to understand my thought process and actions.. I don’t feel like a desperate freak anymore  maybe just a free spirit now with everything to look forward to. I don’t dread each day anymore and that feeling will get some getting used to.😊

I didn’t realise what a dreadful hole I was actually in.. now I’m free I see it more.

Not only has it made a difference to my life but my son's too, he see’s a free, happy mummy.. less stressed too!!
